Film Corp., Ltd. > It seems logical that, as the US system, the letter F stands for the month of issue and the figure for the week. It's unknown what month is meant with F, although June (1933) looks logical. // SUPER durium F-2: On the label the trademark of UNITED MUSIC PUBLISHERS. A complete "new" record found by a collector contained a free 4" record "Announcing Durium French Language Course" (durium 5040) held by a piece of elastic. The cover: d with the long stick. Price: 1'- On the reverse of the cover a sticker : F-2 The outstanding event in the world of popular dance music is the annual competition held in Berlin. The two tunes featured on this record gained first and second prizes in this competition. The music is out of the ordinary. This is an English course containing 5 (!) records for the Swedish market. These records are test pressings without a label. On the reverse the date of delivery Jan. 6 1933 or Jan. 9 1933. . The comment on 1142 is: more natural and11143 “ good “ . The comment on the 1144 and 1145 records is < good > and on 1146 < not good intonation > Although it seems these recordings were not used (and prob. remade as E-1188 and E-1195 till E-1199) the text < Nouvelle Présentation > on the remake suggests there has been an earlier edition. All language courses of durium contain 6 records, so it might be possible that there has been a sixth one (E-1147 ?) |
